Stellenbosch is regarded by many as the red wine capital of South Africa. With cool mountain slopes, breezes off the ocean helping to moderate summer temperatures and a diversity of soil types the potential for quality wines is assured.

Edgebaston has 24 ha planted with vines on shale soils typical of the Stellenbosch. Owner David Finlayson’s family hail from Scotland hence the distinctive thistle logo on the label. His wines demonstrate classic structure, intensity and above all style.


Berry Box White, a Sauvignon/Semillon/Viognier blend, has lively aromas of fresh citrus fruits that develop on to more tropical fruits and hints of honey on a stylish finish.

Pepper Pot, made from Syrah, Mouvedre and Tannat, has been created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of its Rhone varietals. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis. Pure, clean dark red berry flavours flow onto a smooth palate.
